Privacy Policy
Keeps (“we”, “us”) is a personal temple-visit keepsake app. This policy explains what we collect and how it is used.
DATA ON YOUR DEVICE
Visit photos, temple selections, dates, home city, and profile name are stored locally on your device using on-device storage. Signed-out use stays local. We do not operate a public social feed of your keeps.
ACCOUNT (OPTIONAL)
If you Sign in with Apple, we store your Apple user id, the name you share, home city, and a copy of keeps you choose to sync so a friend can Accept a keep onto their poster. Nothing is copied to someone else until they Accept. Invite preview pages show temple name, date, first name, and one small thumb — not your full album.
ACCOUNT DELETION
In the app, Settings → Account → Delete account removes your Keeps account, synced photos, phone match, invites, and circle membership. Keeps saved only on that phone stay on the device. Purchases are managed by Apple and are not refunded by deleting the account.
OPTIONAL LOCATION
If you allow location while using the app, we may use it only in the moment to suggest which temple you are near and to pin a visit on your map. You can always choose the temple manually. Location is not required to use Keeps. We do not request Always or background location.
CAMERA AND PHOTOS
Camera and photo library access are used only to create your keep cards. A camera-roll scan looks for geotagged photos within about 0.1 miles of a temple (a bit farther on large campuses). Nothing uploads until you keep a day. We do not upload your library in the background.
CONTACTS
If you allow Contacts, we use them so you can tag who came with you and send them the keep. Contact data stays on your device except the name and optional phone you choose to attach to a keep or circle invite.
PHONE (OPTIONAL)
If you add a phone number, we store a one-way hash so a friend who tags that number can send you an in-app offer. We do not show your full number to other people.
NOTIFICATIONS
If you allow notifications, we may send local or in-app notes about a past visit and when someone in your circle tags you. You can turn notifications off in Settings.
TEMPLE VISION (OPTIONAL)
When enabled, a photo you choose to collect may be sent to our vision proxy so a model can suggest a temple match. That request is processed to return a suggestion; we do not sell your photos. If vision is off or unavailable, GPS and manual search still work.
PURCHASES
Subscriptions and lifetime unlocks are processed by Apple. We receive entitlement status through StoreKit; we do not store your full payment card details.
ANALYTICS AND CRASH DATA
We do not currently run third-party advertising trackers. If we add crash or usage analytics later, this page will be updated before they ship.
CHILDREN
Keeps is not directed at children under 13. Do not use the app if you are under 13.
